Mark your calendars for the 2013 Riverfest which has been expanded to 3 days. The Riverfest is schedule starting on Friday September 20 through Sunday September 22, 2013. The expanded three day event will includes; more music, more food, more artisans more children’s activities, NEW THIS YEAR is a fireworks display and the Run for Ryan. The music and activities are scheduled for all three days with the fireworks on Friday night and the Run for Ryan on Saturday morning.

Another activity tied to the Riverfest this year is the ribbon cutting of the new bike path that ties the “Bridge to Nowhere” on the west side of Huroc Park to the Huron-Clinton Metro Parks – Oakwood Metropark. (The path is scheduled to be complete by Sept. 20th but this year’s summer rain may cause a delay in the paths completion. We are hopeful that it will be completed on time so we can do the dedication on Sept. 21th.) The ribbon cutting will take place it the Oakwood Metropark and the madden one mile walk/ride will end at Huroc Park.
