Looking for something to do with your children next Thursday? Why not go on a picnic? The Flat Rock Recreation Department is hosting its annual Teddy Bear Picnic on Thursday, July 18th, 2013. The picnic will be held at the Flat Rock Community Center.
The Teddy Bear Picnic is more than just a regular picnic. Children ages 0-12 and parents, guardians, and other adults, are invited to bring their favorite teddy bears or stuffed animals along with them. While at the picnic, children will be able to play different games with their teddy. Music will also be playing for dancing and enjoyment. But when the kids are not playing or dancing, they can make fun crafts with their teddy. And while teddy might not be able to, children will be able to have their face painted.
Other activities include giant inflatables for children to bounce on and train rides around the Flat Rock Community Center. Once the children and their teddy’s are hungry, they can sit down for a true picnic lunch. Lunch will consist of hot dogs and snacks.
It cost $10 per person for the Teddy Bear Picnic. This cost includes the food and extra activities. The picnic will run from 11am to 1pm, on July 18th. Please pre-register by calling Shelly Pluchino at (734) 379-1450. The Flat Rock Community Center is located at 1 Maguire St, off of Gibraltar Rd.
