VENDOR INFO

(please read carefully they get HUNDREDS of phone calls asking questions clearly answered below):

-Each “SITE” is 20 feet x 20 feet and costs $40. You may purchase additional adjacent sites. Interpretation: If you need 40 feet to fit your car and trailer, you may purchase TWO sites (20 ft X 2) for a total of $80, THREE sites costs $120, etc. Cash or checks are accepted for payment.

-Vendor SITES are first come first serve and are ordered consecutively, we do NOT assign SITES beforehand. If you want to get a SITE on the inside the pit, plan to be at the front of the line.

-If you want to be set up with a SITE adjacent to another vendor, you must come at the same time and line up together. No line jumping.

-SITE assignments and vendor parking will commence on Saturday night – about midnight. There is a NO race at the Speedway on the night before.

-There is NO PARKING on Telegraph Road at any time.

-Please be at your SITE no later than 5 a.m. so you have ample time to set-up.

-You must provide your OWN tables, tarps, canopies, etc.

-You must also provide for your OWN trash removal. Whatever you bring onto your SITE must not be left behind!

-Vendors cannot sell used clothing.

-Vendors cannot sell food or beverages. Due to our contractual agreement with the Flat Rock Speedway, they retain the right to manage their own concessions. This is by far the most popular phone call! NO vendor may sell bottled water, walking tacos, hot dogs, etc. Sorry folks, NO EXCEPTIONS!

-Non-profits or organizations may purchase SITES, but will be considered a vendor just like everyone else and are subject to the same fees and SITE restrictions.

-Only SERVICE ANIMALS allowed on premises including vendors! Clearly marked animals (service vests, tags, etc.) are much appreciated to avoid any issues.

-Please remember that the Flat Rock Annual Flea Market is a FAMILY FRIENDLY event. The Flat Rock Historical Society and Flat Rock Speedway reserve the right to ask any vendor who displays inappropriate, dangerous, pornographic, or politically charged material to remove the offending items or leave the premises.

If you have any questions about anything not covered here, please leave a detailed message with your name and a valid phone number so we can return your call at the museum 734.782.5220.

Flat Rock’s Captain Nemo’s Crew is here to serve you.

Captain Nemo’s opened earlier in April at 28801 Telegraph Rd. Flat Rock, MI 48134. Owners Brett and Kasia Manning own the Wyandotte Captain Nemo,s and were encouraged by their costumers to locate in Flat Rock, so Brett and his wife Kasia decided after a viewing the area to locate on telegraph using the old Ray Hunters Florist building as their new location.

Back in the 1940s the building started off as a Texaco Service Station and still retains its original look. Inside this modern setup includes plenty of seats and in the future some outdoor seating when the weather breaks. Brett said business is better than expected. He said we have cooked to order food not pre cooked and use local a local downriver butcher for our fresh meats.  You

WELCOME TO FLAT ROCK

The first Euro-American settlers in Flat Rock were Michael Vreeland and his five grown sons between 1811 and 1820. Michael had been captured by British Rangers during the Revolutionary War and released after American independence.

The family purchased 800 acres (3.2 km2). The town was called the Village of Vreeland until 1838 when the Vreeland family sold off the majority of the land and relinquished control of the area. The Vreeland families built the first grain and lumber mill, having brought the grinding stones from New York.

Descendants of Michael Vreeland still live in the town and attend Flat Rock public schools, being the seventh generation to reside in the town their family founded.
