The Flat Rock – Michigan Main Street Organization (MMA) along with the Flat Rock Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and Tax Increment Finance Authority (TIFA) will be announcing a NEW way finding signage program for the districts. The shopping and civic districts will be divided into 4 distinct areas. The entire program will be unveiled at this year’s Business Forum this Spring. Anita Twardesky from MMS said “We are excited to bring this plan forward to will help folks find their way to different venues and districts within Flat Rock”. Shayla Hopper also on the committee and Owner of “Strands” said that “breaking the city into districts will also help businesses who may not be in the immediate downtown area. These new signs will better describe their locations”. The DDA, TIFA and City of Flat Rock will fund these new signs. Mayor Dropiewski said this will help us get people around even while walking or biking. We invite all businesses owners to come and see the unveiling of the new sign program and other programs available through MMS, TIFA, DDA and the city of Flat Rock at the 2015 “Business Forum” this spring. Time Date and Location will be announced in the next couple of weeks.
