Starting on December 5, 2022, a change in waste removal will take place. Flat Rock’s current schedule is that all waste including recycling is on Fridays. Starting this week there will be a Three-day removal schedule based on your location in the city. If you have a Red Recycle cart, you will NOT be able to use it. Each resident that had one should have received a Green cart with a black top. (New cart Pictured Below.) Starting Monday, the Green cart will be the only one that will be collected for recycling. You can call the city of Flat Rock at 782-2470 for removal of the old Red recycle containers. Below is a copy of the city map with the pickup days noted.
