The First Week of the The Flat Rock Farmers’ Market was a success. The Market is located on the corner of Gibraltar Road and Arsenal Road in the parking lot across from HuRoc Park and is open every Saturday through October 25th. The markets NEW operate hours are from 9 AM to 1 PM.
Market Manager Rena Palumbo said there were a lot of people here in the morning but the numbers dropped off in the afternoon. That is why we are moving the hours up so it will be better for our customers.
This season, all sorts of wonderful things will be offered at the market! Things like Vegetables and Fruit from Marks Greenhouse, Milan, Bread from Vitale Brothers Bakery, Pies from Kate’s Kitchen and Coffee and other products from Simpler Times. If you are hungry, “Dawgs On The Run” will be serving food and cool drinks. You can also help out animal shelter by purchasing a shirt or just donation to the shelter. There are other venders there so come this weekend and see what you may need in the way of fresh fruits and Michigan Grown Vegetables available at the Flat Rock Market.
There’s no better way to strengthen your local community than to shop and eat locally! By visiting the Flat Rock Farmers’ Market, you support our local farmers as well as businesses and community members. Also, you support yourself by providing healthy and fresh food for you and your family.
