McDonalds offers food for everyone. No matter what you are looking for, hamburger, chicken or fish, McDonalds has it.

Even if you are watching your calories, you can still enjoy McDonalds. About 80% of menu items are under 400 calories. If you are sticking to salad, try the Premium Bacon Ranch Salad with Chicken or Premium Southwest Salad with Grilled Chicken. Both are under 400 calories.

You can even enjoy dessert for under 400 calories. Both the vanilla cone and hot fudge sundae are on the list. For something a little more sinful, but still under the 400 mark, order a snack size Oreo McFlurry. Of course, you can always pick a healthy dessert, the Fruit ‘N Yogurt Parfait.

McDonalds knows that people want to save money. That is why they created the Dollar Menu. They offer three different sandwiches, the delicious grilled onion and cheddar burger, a McDouble, and a McChicken. Why not order a side of 3 soft baked chocolate chip cookies for a dollar? Wash down your meal with any sized drink for just a buck.

Even with their dollar menu, McDonalds still wants to help you save. When you check in on the app Foursquare, you can receive a coupon for a free ice cream cone or pie with the purchase of an Extra Value Meal. This coupon doesn’t have a limit and can be used every time you check in.

Trade out your Starbucks for a coffee at McDonalds. McDonalds offers the McCafe, a full line of coffee drinks to suit all taste buds. You can order a plain coffee, a latte, or a mocha, hot or cold. Ishamrock shakesf you are a fan of the really fancy drinks, order a Chocolate Chip Frappe, I promise you won’t regret it.

McCafe also offers smoothies and milkshakes. During the holidays, look for the special McDonalds Eggnog milkshake. The amazing and famous Shamrock shake pops up in March, to help celebrate St. Patricks day.

No matter what your taste, you can find something delicious to eat, and easy on the wallet, at McDonalds.

WELCOME TO FLAT ROCK

The first Euro-American settlers in Flat Rock were Michael Vreeland and his five grown sons between 1811 and 1820. Michael had been captured by British Rangers during the Revolutionary War and released after American independence.

The family purchased 800 acres (3.2 km2). The town was called the Village of Vreeland until 1838 when the Vreeland family sold off the majority of the land and relinquished control of the area. The Vreeland families built the first grain and lumber mill, having brought the grinding stones from New York.

Descendants of Michael Vreeland still live in the town and attend Flat Rock public schools, being the seventh generation to reside in the town their family founded.
