KFC

December 17, 2013 By Downtown Flat Rock

Fill up on fried chicken when you stop for dinner at KFC. KFC is located at 27127 Telegraph Rd.

KFC is famous for their original recipe fried chicken. You can order your chicken pretty much any way you would like: original, boneless, extra crispy, bite sized. They even offer grilled chicken, if fried isn’t for you.

Complete your dinner with one of their delicious sides. Why not order a side of mashed potatoes? They are served up hot and buttery and topped with KFC’s signature gravy. Or try a side of mac and cheese. KFC’s mac and cheese is covered in a creamy cheddar cheese sauce, and is some of the best around.kfc food

Other sides include:

  • Coleslaw
  • Potato Wedges
  • Green Beans
  • Biscuits
  • Whole Kernel Corn
  • Corn on the Cob

Don’t forget to order the kids a Li’l Bucket kids meal. Kids can pick from a drumstick, chicken bites, a tender, or a chicken little sandwich. Then they can chose either a side of mac and cheese, green beans or mashed potatoes. All meals come with a drink, toy and an apple sauce on the go pouch.

KFC also offers a great selection for lunch. The doublicious sandwich is a great example of that. It is a breaded chicken breast, with monterey jack, bacon and sauce on a Hawaiian bun. Or you could get a KFC famous bowl. The famous bowl is full of mashed potatoes, corn, chicken bites, gravy and cheese. It is a easy lunch full of everything that makes KFC great.

Juliaspam, on Yellow Pages, said, “I think this is the nicest restaurant in Flat Rock. Everything is spotless, and handled professionally. Even the restrooms are clean! Try it, the food is delicious always fresh, never old!”

WELCOME TO FLAT ROCK

The first Euro-American settlers in Flat Rock were Michael Vreeland and his five grown sons between 1811 and 1820. Michael had been captured by British Rangers during the Revolutionary War and released after American independence.

The family purchased 800 acres (3.2 km2). The town was called the Village of Vreeland until 1838 when the Vreeland family sold off the majority of the land and relinquished control of the area. The Vreeland families built the first grain and lumber mill, having brought the grinding stones from New York.

Descendants of Michael Vreeland still live in the town and attend Flat Rock public schools, being the seventh generation to reside in the town their family founded.
