Don’t let trick or treating be the only way you celebrate Halloween this year. The Flat Rock Community Center has three different activities this October to get in the Halloween spirit.
Humans aren’t the only ones who like to celebrate Halloween. Bring your furry friend to Bow Wow Ween on Sunday, October 20th. Dress up your pet in a costume of its own for a chance to win a prize. Then join the costume contest parade to show off your spooky friend. Bow Wow Ween will be held from 1pm to 3pm at the Community Park Warming Building. Professional photos will be available for $10 each or two for $15. Bow Wow Ween cost $5 per pet, $7 per pet after 10/11/13, or $10 the day of the party.
Dress up and get ready for fun at the Pumpkin Patch Party. On Tuesday, October 22nd, from 5pm to 7pm, enjoy crafts, games, prizes and more. Kids from ages two to ten can enjoy a dinner of macaroni and cheese. Any child not potty trained must stay with a parent. The deadline to register is October 18th, for $20. Each additional child is only $5.
Rather get the whole family involved in the fun? Attend the Monster Mash Halloween Bash on Sunday, October 27th, from 4pm to 7pm. Grab a seat on the trackless train for a spooky ride through the woods surrounding the Community Center. After your ride, play games and make crafts to take home. Come hungry, because they will be serving hot dogs, pizza, drinks and snacks. Since it will be almost Halloween, please wear your costume. Sign up for $5 a person and $7 a person if you register after October 11th.
