The Farmers Market is NOW at Huroc Park Located at Gibraltar and Arsenal Roads; the Market will be at a new location in the clock tower parking lot across from Huroc Park starting today Saturday August 6th. The Flat Rock Market is a “Made In Michigan” market. The market will remain across from Huroc Park through Mid-October and will have the same hours from 10 AM to 4 PM. Shirley Moore from Wayne-Metropolitan Community Action Agency (Wayne-Metro) and the vendors feel that the park area is a better setting for the market because it is next to the senior center and will get more foot traffic from the park. The Flat Rock DDA is sponsoring this event. This weekend August 6th market includes; Michigan Blueberries, Michigan Honey, fresh Michigan vegetables, Made in Michigan cookies Michigan Grown Pop Corn and pasta we have added a live band and a bouncy for the children. So stop by the park this Saturday between 10 AM and 4 PM and pick up some fresh picked, from the farm, fruits and vegetables, relax and listen to live entertainment while the little ones are having fun on the bouncy. Huroc Park is great place to spend a day with friends and family walking on the non motorized path, fishing or a good old fashion picnic.
