Councilman Gary Borden Gary Borden, 54 years old was pronounced dead at Oakwood-Southshore Hospital Sunday March 30th. Mr. Borden was on a City Council 2 ½ years and a member of the Planning Commission 4 years prior. In 2011 he helped revive the Riverfest as the chairman of that committee. Last year he was instrumental in starting the Countryblast.
Mayor Dropiewski said the city has lost a great public servant.
He is survived by his wife, Sarita, and two young daughters, Neha and Reva.
