Mayor Jonathan Dropiewski is teaming up with the Detroit Pistons to recognize those who make a difference in the city through their “Come Together” program.
Residents can nominate themselves or others using the form at www.flatrockmi.org or by picking up a form in the city clerk’s or Building Department’s offices.
Nominations are due Feb. 24 and those selected will be notified by Feb. 28.
Residents can submit the nominations at City Hall or by emailing the mayor at mayor@flatrockmi.org.
Winners will be recognized during a council meeting for their contributions to the city and will receive four tickets to the March 9 Pistons game against the Atlanta Hawks at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
The ticket pack also includes a parking pass and vouchers for discounted food and merchandise.
Those who would like to attend the game can order tickets through a special website on Ticketmaster and the team will donate $5 from each purchase to the Flat Rock Community Foundation.
The nomination form, available at www.flatrockmi.org, contains the link to purchase tickets.
